Last week, on April 8 and 9, DOCUMENTA carried out a new pilot training and testing of the online tools of the European In2C Project "Integration of Third- Country Nationals in the Construction Sector" at the facilities of the Labor Foundation of Construction in Barreda with a group of immigrant from the Red Cross.
With this new action, Documenta has already formed seven groups in recent months and is scheduled to continue with these pilot trainings until reaching the goal of 100 TCNs in Spain.
These pilot trainings are being a great success, offering participants useful information on the topics of Labor Legislation and the labor market, and Health and Safety in the Construction Sector. In addition, these actions are complemented with the explanation and testing of the tools designed within the project to improve job placement in this Sector: Terminology Glossary, Image based Technical Vocabulary, e-Platform and SOnAT (Skills Online Assessment Tool on the Sector of the Construction).
The European project In2C aims to integrate TCNs in the labour market and, more specifically, in the Construction Sector through an integral training based on new technologies, focusing mainly on the improvement of TCN’s competences regarding the host country’s language and those related to the Construction Sector, as well as the creation of networks among employers and TCNs.
