TCG-CWT: Working meeting about the In2C European project’s training program

The president of TCG-CWT, Mr. Nikos Papageorgiou and the head of the Municipal Planning Department - Office of European Programs of the Municipality of Larissa, Mrs. Evangelia Gountroumpi had a working meeting in the framework of the European In2C project with the Commander of the Hospitality / Temporary Reception Facility of Koutsochero, Mr. Apostolos Papaparisis, at camp's premises.

It is stressed that the goal of the project is to facilitate and promote the effective integration of third-country nationals in the labor market of the construction sector.

The purpose of the meeting was to cooperate with the Facility, so that third-country nationals living there can participate in the training program of the In2C, in order to strengthen their language skills, regarding issues of health and safety at the construction sites, as well as the terminology of the technical works, in order to facilitate finding work.

 

In2C

TCG-CWT is the coordinator of the project "In2C- Integration of TCNs in the Construction sector", a project funded by the Asylum and Migration and Integration Fund of the European Commission.

The project aims to improve language skills in technical terminology and to support knowledge of European policies at national and international level (eg. workplace duties and responsibilities, health and safety issues). Trained third-country nationals will have the opportunity to assess their skills through an online assessment tool and receive a certificate, which could be imported or downloaded on relevant EU platforms.

Leading partner of the project is the Regional Department of Central and Western Thessaly of the Technical Chamber of Greece, while the other partners are: DIMITRA Education & Consulting SA (Greece),  Municipality of Larissa (Greece), Fundacion Laboral de la construccion (Spain), Documenta (Spain), Federation of Cyprus Building Contractors Associations (Cyprus), Mediterranean Management Center (Cyprus), Folkuniversitet (Sweden).
