During February 24 and 25, DOCUMENTA carried out another pilot training for the European In2C project "Integration of Third Country Nationals in the Construction Sector" with a group of 13 TCNs (Third Country Nationals) participants at the Center for Training and Employment of the Santander City Council located in the fishing neighbourhood of the Cantabrian capital.
During the two training days, the group of participants was able to learn about aspects of labor legislation, the labor market and Safety and Hygiene in the Construction Sector, as well as the online tools that the project has designed to improve labor insertion in this Sector (Glossary of terminology, technical vocabulary based on images, e-platform and SOnATs).
The training has been a success in its participation and evaluation, where its usefulness as a way of learning essential aspects for labor insertion in the Construction Sector was highlighted. Other trainings are already scheduled for the next few weeks, the goal being to reach 100 participants in Spain (400 in total among the 4 partner countries).
The European project In2C aims to integrate TCNs in the labor market and, more specifically, in the Construction Sector through an integral training based on new technologies, focusing mainly on the improvement of TCN’s competences regarding the host country’s language and those related to the Construction Sector, as well as the creation of networks among employers and TCNs.
