Last week, the Cantabria Construction Labor Foundation and DOCUMENTA carried out the first pilot training of the In2C project "Integration of Third Country Nationals in the Construction sector" at the FLC Training Center (Barreda) to a group of NTPs participating in the Red Cross program.
Throughout four days, the participating TCNs were able to carry out training in Health and Safety (Prevention of Occupational Risks), Labour Legislation and the Labour Market, and also learned about the different online tools that the project has designed to improve the competencies of TCNs interested in working in the Construction Sector: Terminological Glossary, Technical Vocabulary based on images, E-Platform and SOnAT.
The training was received with great interest by the participants, who took advantage of these days to improve their knowledge and skills in the Construction Sector, as well as to learn about the European In2C project.
This week a second pilot training of the project is scheduled to be carried out again by the FLC of Cantabria and DOCUMENTA. In this way and during the coming months, these trainings will continue to be developed for 100 TCNs interested in working in the Construction Sector in Spain as part of the project's WP4.
The European project In2C has one goal: the integration of TCNs in the labour market, and, more specifically, in the Construction Sector. This is accomplished through an integral training based on ICTs which is focused on the improvement of TCN’s competences regarding the host country’s language and those related to the Construction Sector, as well as the creation of networks among employers and TCNs.
